A post-doctoral research associate position is available immediately in the Soybean Genomics and Biotechnology Laboratory at the University of Missouri. Research focus will be on transcription factor (TF)-DNA interaction studies towards stress tolerance in soybean. The successful candidate should have strong experience in ChIP and ChIP-seq with next generation sequencing data analysis skills. Also, the post-doctoral fellow will be engaged in ORFeome cloning, protein expression, antibody validation, and functional characterization of selected TFs and their interacting partners towards stress tolerance. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, plant biology, or a related discipline. We encourage applicants from non-plant systems. The position requires a strong background in molecular biology techniques particularly genome-wide protein-DNA interaction studies. Experience with gene regulation and silencing, biochemical pathways, and genomic databases is desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential.
Applicants should provide a letter of interest, a complete CV, and three reference letters. Please include the following in the subject line: “PD Application for Protein Interaction Studies” and send the above requested information to:
